Dr Boris Eskandari-Marandi is one of two Practice Principles at Littlehampton Medical Centre. He holds a Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of GPs and a Master of Medicine in the field of Primary Care Skin Cancer Medicine.

Dr Boris graduated from Flinders University in 1993. He then spent the following 7 years working at the Flinders Medical Centre, Royal Adelaide Hospital, Queen Elizabeth Hospital and The Lyell McEwin Hospital gaining experience in a broad range of medical specialties. He moved to the Adelaide Hills in 2000 and has been a member of the Littlehampton team ever since. He is also an accredited supervisor for GP Registrars and is involved in teaching medical students at the clinic. Dr Boris has a special interest in skin cancer medicine and runs skin cancer clinics twice a week. He also consults four days a week, including some Saturdays, in all areas of general practice. He provides regular visits to Sash Ferguson and Oakfield Nursing Homes in Mt Barker, and the Hahndorf Residential Care Facility in Hahndorf and also takes part in the inpatient management of patients at Mt Barker DSM Hospital.

Luis grew up in Sydney and studied Medicine at the Australian National University in Canberra, though he now calls the Adelaide Hills home with his wife and three young boys. He enjoys seeing patients of all ages, but is particularly passionate about men’s health, as well as the prevention of heart disease and diabetes. He also has a keen interest in veterans’ health, including the medical care of veterans transitioning to civilian life.

Matthew is a proud Gamilaraay man and graduated from the University of Adelaide in 1999.

After three years of hospital-based training across Adelaide, he travelled to the UK in 2003 and worked in the NHS.

In 2004, he started in Rural General Practice at Balaklava and Moonta in SA.

Matthew completed GP Anaesthetics Training at Modbury Hospital in 2006.

He has participated in the Theatre and on-call Obstetric Anaesthesia roster at Mt Barker Hospital for 15 years.

Matthew enjoys seeing all patients across the breadth of General Practice but has most training and experience in Adult and Elderly Psychiatry and Aboriginal Health.

He is also a Senior Consultant for SALHN, at the Aboriginal Family Clinic.

Now an avid cyclist, he attends to the family’s hobby farm in his spare time.

Drawn to the wide range of medicine that general practice offers, Rebecca completed her General Practice training attaining her fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2022.

Rebecca is passionate about healthcare, with a focus on primary prevention of chronic diseases, management of chronic health conditions and emergency medicine.

Outside of medicine, Rebecca spends her time with her husband and three young boys. She’s always experimenting in the garden so will be happy to take in any of your gardening suggestions

Welcome to Katherine who graduated from Flinders University in 2019. She has gained experience in a variety of medical specialties at Flinders Medical Centre and paediatrics at Lyell McEwen Hospital.

She completed the Sydney Child Health Program and is certified in the insertion of Implanon.

Her special interests include child health, sexual health including gender diverse healthcare, womens health and geriatric medicine.

Outside of healthcare Katherine loves hiking and spending time with her family and dog Teddy.

Dr Jean Liu earned her MBBS degree from the University of Melbourne in 2013. During her early clinical years, she worked across Western Australia’s major tertiary hospital networks, including Fiona Stanley Hospital, Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, and Royal Perth Hospital as a medical registrar, rotating through a variety of medical specialties.

In 2020, Jean made the move to rural South Australia, where she took on the role of Senior Medical Practitioner at Riverland General Hospital.

Her commitment to rural medicine led her to complete additional rural skills training in Internal Medicine alongside her ongoing GP training. Now, Jean is thriving in her role as a country GP, finding great satisfaction in serving the community and envisioning this as her long-term career path.

Dr Dione Tan graduated from the University of Newcastle in 2017.

She has gained experience in a variety of medical and surgical specialties working in Singapore, Lyell McEwen Hospital and Modbury Hospital, including critical care, Women and Children’s health. She completed the Emergency Medical Certificate, Sydney Child Health Program and is certified in the insertion and removal of Implanon.

Returning home, he has spent the last year in the Women’s and Children’s Hospital building his expertise in both women’s health and paediatrics.

He has recently moved to the the Adelaide Hills with his young family and is looking forward to joining our clinic.

Dr. Eric Yong is an Internal Medicine Physician and General Medical Oncologist who provides patient-focused and evidence-based medical care. He has special interest in evaluation of medical oncological conditions and acute care medicine, and believes that ongoing longitudinal care is imperative to better health outcomes.

Dr. Yong is linguistically fluent with several Chinese dialects including Mandarin, Hokkien and Teochew. He provides consultation and inpatient care at Calvary Adelaide Hospital, Calvary North Adelaide Hospital, Ashford Private Hospital, Flinders Private Hospital, and St. Andrew’s Hospital.

Dr Yong is a visiting specialist physician and consults at Littlehampton Medical Centre.
